sky shot filter - 12/21/2003
anyone know of a good filter for sky shots like these?

looks like the author used a polarization filter. This can enhance the blue colour of the sky, produce dramatic skies by bringing out any clouds and emphasize or eliminate reflections, depending on the position of the two parts of the filter.
I always carry one of those for each lens I have in my bag.
