Need a small picture enlarged - 12/26/2003
Bear in mind, I am not a photographer and know next to nothing about the subject. I have a small picture on my computer that I want to enlarge alot and print out but when I do, it looks bad. Is there any possible way of doing this?

Thank you,

I'll assume the photo is a low resolution scan or a low res shot from a digital camera? If you are trying to make an 8X10 from a thumbnail size image (file size like 10-20k) you are not going to get much. Is the image a jpeg?
Do you have access to an original to get a better file?
Sory I can't be of more help.

It depends on how small the picture is actually. One of the things is that if there isn't much there in the way of pixels, then you just can't enlarge it very much and get a clear image. What file format is the picture in? What size is it?
