The world has lost COMPASSION and the fire for peace... - 05/17/2004
I think that the world has lost it's love of compassion and love for peace. Not in the idealistic sense, but in the sense that, people with strong voices and even stronger ideas have been silenced behind those who are screaming in favor of violence, brutality, and war. Remember in the 50s, 60s, even 70s when although war and hatred were alive and well much like they are right now, there were those with strong (at at times stronger voices) out in the streets with flowers, protesting, singing for peace, etc. Either people have given up the hope for peace ever truly finding a grounding in this world, or the world has just lost leaders who believe so greatly in peace and harmony that someone new needed to fill a large voice is very much needed. Since there is fighting now, why not fight even HARDER for peace, for love, for understanding? No matter how small or how little you know or think it will do, AT LEAST GIVE IT A SHOT.

With Hope,
Jamie Leigh

Dear Jaimie

Please don't give up hope! I think there are more folks out there than you think that feel the same way you do. I have a favorite quote posted here about peace:
This site also contains resources for: prayer, healing and meditation:
