Great Cinematography in new Asian Film
Hey, I know this isnt about traditional photography, but i thought i would mention it. I just Memories of Murder which is a 2003 Korean film that is just now being released in the US by universal. Anyway, it had amazing cinematography and art direction. It wasnt the flashy work or indie films or student films, or even the awe inspiring images of the big blockbusters of Titanic....but it was just beautifully simple and honest shots that really highlighted the film...it may sounds like the cinematography wasnt that good by the way i am describing it, but I dont know how to say it better, it was great cinematography cuase you didnt notice it, but if you paid attention to it you would realize how perfectly it fit with the film (which is about s. korea's first serial killer). So if you like cinematography, i hightly recommend this film to you. I found the trailer at their website, so go there if you are interested... www.memoriesofmurder.com If you have seen it, what do you think?
