help with stage photography - 07/02/2003
I am trying to take some pictures of a show i am in. It is on a cruise ship and i would love some action shots of the dancers whilst doing the show. I cannot use a flash and i have a Sony Dsc-f717 camera. Can anyone advise of a good setting to use to get a good shot without using a flash, considering how a show is lit (from above and directly at the dancers on stage while i am in the darkness of the audotorium). Any help would be greatly appreciated to

If the camera can be set manually, during the next dimmer check, with the stage lighting in a cue simular to one in the scene that you want to shoot, take a few close up pics that include flesh tones. Decide on your best setting, and leave the camera on that setting. then during the show, have someone shoot away for you.
