   West Pennine Wanders
The West Pennine Moors is an upland area in southern Lancashire, butressed by Bolton, Chorley and Blackburn, hugley popular in the local area for many activities, including walking. This site is designed to give an insight into the history of the area, and provide a database of walks in the area, for both recreation and Duke Of Edinburgh Award expeditions.

   The Hiking Club
The Hiking Club is an independent, non-profit making organisation. Its objective is to arrange walking activities for the enjoyment of its members. These activities are focused around rambling and hill walking and do not include any competitive element – we walk at the speed of the slowest.
